Thanks for a wonderful and very entertaining evening. Your evocative comments were not only funny but reminded me of how fortunate I am in so many different respects.

Nancy, 2004-06-22

A wonderfully told story. Thank you for the small, but enlightening depiction of life in Romania.

Craig, 2004-06-21

Thank you for sharing your story: uplifting, courageous, and very entertaining. Good luck in NY!

Bahi Oreizy, 2004-06-15

Great performance Silvian.. My mom and I were quite impressed with the story you had to tell and your delivery of it! I hope to see it again with my husband this weekend. I say Simona deserves a big thankyou for all her background support as well! Good luck in NY! Bahi

Intriguing, educational, witty, and very well presented. Great job Silvian! We thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Therese Reilly, 2004-06-14

Nice job Silvian, interesting & lots of laughs!

Aarti Kumar, 2004-06-14

A very thought-provoking story delivered with humor and wit. Silvian has gone through a lot in one lifetime. Btw, I was glad to bump into him in the cafe today! :)

Matt Mayerson, 2004-06-14

It was great - I really found it fascinating. I've driven everyone in the office crazy talking about it.

Mary Zarucchi, 2004-06-11

The performance was outstanding! The stories and story telling style held my rapt attention throughout the show. Thank you for a most pleasurable evening.

catherine, 2004-06-07

Completely enthralling performance! Despite the extraordinary nature of Silvian's experiences themselves, what struck me most was how he maneuvered through them and maintained his dignity, humor, and focus. Bravo.

Good show. It got me thinking about how when life is relatively easy, as it is in a rich country like ours, people put artificial obstacles in front of themselves, such as mountain climbing or difficult books. Silvian's obstacles were not voluntary. He plotted revolution, risked being shot while escaping his country, lived under a bridge and picked garbage cans until he found his way back into his field of high tech in a country where he didn't speak the language. Artificial obstacles or involuntary ones, fighting the fight alters the person. Everyday challenges become smaller, big challenges become attainable, with effort. Come hear a man speak who had been through so much, he believed he could swim the Atlantic to join our melting pot, and is thinking about returning to Romania to help.

Exceptional! Most of the times funny, sometimes sad, always inspirational, the play brought to life old memories from Romania, added new funny stories to my own life as an emigrant, and refuelled my belief that anything is possible when you refuse to give up. Thank you, Silvian! Success in New York and everywhere you go.

Charles Burwell, 2004-06-05

Inspiring. Entertaining. Provocative. Well told, and I will see it again before you leave for NYC. I would also love to see number II as your take on 'What happens after your beautiful resume is accepted'. Overall, it was a fascinating and well-told story.

What an inspiring show!! I can relate to many of the stories you told. They are funny and also bloody real. I am too an legal alian in the U.S., and I walked away believing that I can conquer the world. I hope this will become a broadway play one day. Well done!!

Mike Meditzky, 2004-06-03

Excellent show!

Jennifer Glass, 2004-06-02

I thought it was terrific! Highly entertaining and very thought-provoking. Congratulations!

Ignorance can be a gift when you combine it with an utter lack of fear. Silvian, in his inimitable style, proves this in his hilarious solo act that takes you on a wild adventure from the time he escaped from Romania to the present. A not-to-be-missed tale of an immigrant who still doesn't understand the word 'failure'.

Bud Osterberg, 2004-05-24

Great show. Entertaining, and thought provoking. I know you have many more stories up your sleeve... er... cape; I can't wait for part II! I do, however, have a sneaking suspicion that the only reason you took questions at the end was so that you could check another box!

Randy Durante, 2004-05-24

I really loved it. I know Silvian already but I still very much enjoy when it was told on this comedy. Congratulations and God bless when you go to New York!

Gabrielle Mullem, 2004-05-24

A great one man show! An enriching experience -engrossing, inspiring and funny. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable evening. I've been recommending it or retelling it to out-of-towners for weeks.

Sarah Moore, 2004-05-22

i thought the humor was quite clever and whitty, however... the advertisement was very misleading. when i saw the picture, i was expecting a dramatic and morbid performance full of action and horror. the reality was not at all bad, but i was disappointed nonetheless. i was delighted to find that his story was, in fact, true, at the end when he spoke with us and answered questions.

Count Dracula, 2004-05-19

Dear Mr Centiu, Let me say first of all that I will recitfy the fact that nobody in Romania has heard of me very swiftly. Secondly let me say what a great job you did in your play. The best thing I have seen for years, except Buffy the Vampire Slayer of Course. Ian

thank you so much for sharing your story with us. it brought back many memories and deepened my appreciation of today's situation in europe, i see your story as a metaphor for many similarly drastic stories typical to the east block countries at the time. it's still a long way to go but, as your life shows, in the end all we needed was freedom and a little educational help on how to deal with it.

Andrew Fetterer, 2004-05-17

In a land of inspiring tales of instant riches, Silvian reminds us of the more personal convictions one must have to achieve greatness. Funny, edgy, and at times sad, his story is one you will not forget.

kel sheppey, 2004-05-17

It's a great story and well told. Apart from the story itself, which is an epic escape from behind the then Communist Iron Curtain, what I found really found inspirational was one man's determination to change his circumstances, and that he was able to do it, it's about anything being possible, and there's something comforting for all of us in that idea!

Mark Amans, 2004-05-16

Bravo! I went to see your show on Saturday and I was very impressed. Your story is inspiring and your delivery is impeccable. You have definitely opened my eyes to a new perspective. Thank You.

Bill Selby, 2004-05-16

In addition to being both dramatic and funny, I loved the central message of your one-man-show, how you refused to be blocked by the status quo, believed in yourself and your abilities, and most importantly, took positive creative action. Very inspiring!

Doreen Chang, 2004-05-16

Great play. Everybody laughs like at no other comedy I have ever seen and I left the theater thinking about all the inspiring stories. It is so, Americans know little about the sufferings of common people under dictatorships.

punchie, 2004-05-15

wow.. and totally inspired. I plan to bring a group of friends out in June. Need to see it again. inspiration is a positive
